My Mother In Law sent this video my way a few weeks ago. I am still in awe of this small child's gifts. You MUST watch it!

Finshep The Time Traveler!

What an amazing day! Kenny and I were off to see Dr.B who ended up being Catherine the R.N. Check out some of the pictures Kenny was able to purchase. You know Kenny didn't hesitate on that purchase :)

Little did we know Finshep is actually 20 weeks and 1 day old today. Apparently we time traveled right past our big 5 month marker! And get this... our corrected due date?? April 7th! Carla's birthday, the day I've been sure that baby would be born. I guess we'll see. Oh and as of right now, your guess is as good as ours :)

Celebrating Today and Tomorrow What Awesome Days God has Made!

Well today is Thursday which is always exciting at our house. It means the pictures of the spinning baby to the right will change. Another week, another pound or two and one more huge milestone! This week in utero: the baby is now the size of a 6 inch sub, it is starting to bulk up on fat and is being covered in the most expensive and hard to come by protective lotion :)
Today is also very exciting for all three of us as it is Finshep's dad's 35th month sober! We are so proud of Papa Kenny. He is such a brave, strong, hard working, determined man of God and if not for his determination to beat this disease none of us would be together. Thanks Dad! We love you so much.
Lest we forget to mention tomorrow, tomorrow, it's only a day away! We have finally reached our big appointment with Dr. B. I can't wait to see how much this baby has changed. Updated pictures for all! While we may or may not find out this week if we have a Fin or Shep, you my great friends and family will have to wait. Sorry. And just an FYI we've heard it all. So you can spare me your, "I won't tell a soul"... YES YOU WILL! So let us bless you and not put the pressure of keeping such an awesome secret to yourself.
Soon enough!

Confusion starts with C

Well today we were off to run our Saturday errands. I love Saturdays. I love all we accomplish on Saturdays. However! I don't love how early my husband feels he needs to wake up on Saturdays... ugh. So today we hit the mall. On our check list: Get our rings cleaned and checked, pick up one last Christmas present and the biggie visit Victoria Secret (oohhh). Poor Kenny, I am some kind of wife bringing my husband with me to one of the most suggestive stores around. Better, leading him (hand in hand) right past all things lacy and pretty, items which might have made is mind scream "Praise God we are newlyweds!!" straight to the land of .....comfort, cotton and most of all confusion.Welcome to pregnancy Love. But a Mama's gotta do what a Mama's got to do. And let's be honest comfort and support are top priorities for these girls. So I must say that when our helpful sales associate asked what I was looking for I froze. Now all you ladies whom may have grown up feeling you were just a little short changed in a certain department will understand. This was a monumental moment in my life. And while a wireless, padding free, mom to be brazier may not be the cutest addition in my closet, I'm thankful. Celebrate starts with C!

18 weeks ... Brooke Fraser Concert To Celebrate

Man am I out of the loop! But it's all good cause God's got my back. I used to be in the know of anything coming remotely close to Austin, and now I'm busy just trying to find my cell phone. Well this week I almost missed out on one of the greatest shows. Now 18 weeks, feeling amazing we were off to The Parish on 6th street to see one amazing singer/songwriter Brooke Fraser. My photographer was having some problems with the lighting this week. Not saying my back is growing as fast as my front... not saying it isn't. The show was awesome, her voice was even better live (which is always big treat), the venue held about 200 standing fans and you know we were 5 feet from her feet. Finshep LOVED it! Respectful during the show Finshep chose to listen quietly. However once we hit the car Finshep was ready to go. Danced the whole way home, even busting out some new moves.... The slip and slide to the left then flip back to the right, kick your mom in the tum and we dance all night. This is Finshep's new favorite song called "Something in the Water"

How to find out?!?!

Wow does time seems to be flying by these days! So many big things have been happening around here... My work and travel paperwork have both come (early) as well as our interview date with immigration, PTL. Oh and the baby has started to kick. What!? Yes Finshep is strong and well, kicking up a storm... day and night :) What an awesome experience to feel your child. What I might consider not so "awesome" not fitting into any of your clothes, including underwear! Are you serious? Call me crazy but never did this cross my mind. Back to the good stuff... So before we know it it will be ULTRA SOUND TIME!! And this is the BIGGY!! We will be seeing Dr.B for our detailed 20 week ultrasound. I'll be checking the ears, (I've been praying over them) I believe my issue with ears might have come from childhood? Perhaps my sisters singing "M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E" (reffering to my ears!) before I could spell caused this deep need to pray over my child's ears? Besides the ears I might be keeping an eye out for something else. We are pretty sure we want to know what this small child is so now we just have to figure out how we want to find out. We've been tossing around the idea of taking the envelope to a store and having the clerk tell us which outfit to buy (pink or blue) I am however open to any ideas you may have!!! We have a week to go, so let me know what you think! Excited to hear some new ideas :)

Thanks!!
