If at first you don't succeed with Summer Infant Monitor, try, try, try, try again

We were excited when a good friend of ours found a video infant monitor at Marshalls last year. It was at Target for around $150 but we scored it for $60 at Marshalls on clearance! We kept it in the box till after our 3rd move. Kenny kept bugging me about keeping the box in case something was wrong... but the box was big and bulky and we didn't have room and well you guessed it I didn't listen. Shortly after we tried the monitor out for the first time. And well you guessed it, it didn't work. I contacted Summer Infant Monitors and the following was our experience with the company.

I called and after about 15 minutes they answered. To my surprise the customer service lady Jennifer was very very nice & helpful! She sent me a label I packed the broken monitor up and sent it her way. About one week later I received a new (same model - secure sounds color monitor) monitor. Plugged that buddy in and... no video :(
I called back, and after about a 20 minute wait they answered. Again very helpful, I just had to give my name and they were able to pull up all my information (which would come in very handy down the road). This time I was able to hold onto my monitor until a new one was delivered. About a week later I received our 3rd monitor. I again sent back our broken unit.
Plugged this guy in thinking there was no way, it had to work, but NO. It made a terrible buzzing sound and the picture was very grainy. Feeling like I was a crazy lady making this all up I made the call one last time. This time I was on a mission to get a different model.
Again I waited about 15 minutes for someone to answer, again they were very friendly and kind. After discussing the mater with her manager the ok was given to send me a different model.
You know how this part goes, I receive then send back the broken monitor. Only this time something special happened! They sent me the Summer Slim & Secure Infant Monitor. And friends let me tell you it was well worth the wait! Maybe not worth the numerous send backs, phone calls, and restless moments wondering if my monitor was going to work.... But none the less worth the wait.
My review on the Secure Sounds Infant Monitor by Summer - 0 out of 5 stars, don't buy, don't trust, not worth the money (even if you get a great deal), bulky, terrible picture quality
My review on the Slim & Secure Infant Monitor by Summer - 4 out of 5 stars, great buy, slim design comparable to an I Phone with decent picture that works both day and night.
My experience with Summer Infant Monitors - Staff is very friendly, kind and helpful, it takes a long time to get someone on the phone but once you do its worth it.
Hope this can help someone out there who is looking at purchasing an infant monitor.  www.summerinfant.com
